Nov 5 - 7PM Message-ID: MacTechGroup The MacTechGroup holds meetings for Macintosh programmers on the first Wednesday of each month at MIT in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA. Next Meeting: Nov 5 2014 7:00 PM Building E51 Room 335 MIT Sloan School NOTE THAT OUR OFFICIAL ROOM IS 335 - but check the other rooms in that corridor!!!!! Topic: DEBUG LOGGING Speaker: Steve Caine Steve Caine will demonstrate his developer's library which you can get for free. Here's his description: One of the tools in a developer's arsenal is capturing data from a running app to the debugging console and/or text files for both immediate inspection and later analysis. I'll show code that I use (some available on GirHub, all available that night) to capture and format this data in both objective C and C++, discuss some advantages of logging vs. other debugging techniques, and even throw in a little history going back to the days of 68K code resources and debuggers limited to 32k of global memory. P.S. If you're coming, rsvp at Meetup.com. People decide they're coming based on how many others say Yes! ************************ You can get a map showing building E51 at The MacTechGrp always meets the first Wednesday of the month.
