In</em> <em>the old days, there were Mac-only formats like MacPaint and MacWrite.</em> <em>Plain text files used a different character set from everyone else.</em> <em>Files for the same application on Mac and Windows weren't compatible</em> <em>with each other. Mac files weren't even a single ordered sequence of</em> <em>bytes, violating a basic assumption of file systems today. On the</em> <br><em>hardware side, most modern computers can't read Classic floppies.</em> <br><br>If you need to recover pre-OS X Mac files, what can you do?
